Who is Seerx?

Today, Seerx is a large team with over 200 years of cumulative IT experience comprised of people that adore what they do. We have been providing our services to some amazing clients for over 20 years now and look forward to many more years of meeting and exceeding their expectations.

Who is Seerx looking for?

You love people. And it shows. People can tell that when you are talking to them on the phone and you’re smiling. It’s that apparent. It comes across the telephone line as if you were standing right there in front of them, beaming from ear to ear. Yet, you are a very curious individual, and love finding out how things work. Which you did when you were younger by taking things apart. Then you graduated to learning, by reading or Googling, trial and error and asking great questions of people with more experience than you. And then sitting back and doing something else you’re very good at – listening. Finally, when you have all the information at your fingertips, your amazing critical thinking and analytical skills kick in and you get to work solving problems. To find a solution and give you a high that you can’t really compare to anything else. Because this is fun, and you can’t believe you’re getting paid to do this. You are a caring individual, that wants to help people in whatever way you can. To that end, you can easily put yourself into other people’s shoes and are respectful in dealings with both staff and clients. You can work independently. While working together as part of a team or project is great, pounding away on a keyboard and solving the world’s problems remotely, is okay too. Driving is something you mastered a while ago, because you’ll need it (and a car) for this job. Self-starter is what got you into this field in the first place – you simply decided to get into IT and the rest was history.

What should I be good at?

Microsoft product, first and foremost. Server 2022, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365. If you have certs, bonus. Vmware. Arcserve or Cove knowledge would be a bonus. Sonicwall is our security product of choice. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, vLAN creation and maintenance, and a decent understanding of how DNS works. Experience with Managed Services PSA software, Managed Services RMM software, AV, EDR, would be a grand bonus. Training will be offered to the right candidate to fill in the knowledge gaps.

What will you be doing?

You will be part of our Helpdesk/Project Technical Team, a group of talented people that assist our clients both remotely or in their places of business. Everything from manning a helpdesk chair and answering live calls, to implementing new projects, installing and setting up new computer and network equipment and troubleshooting anything IT related regarding virtualization, servers and the cloud. In the end, the job responsibilities are as varied as the field of Information Technology itself.

You are a curious one. Always looking to learn something new everyday, because knowledge is an adventure, and your virtual backpack is always at the ready. You are meticulous. Your ability to plan out daily tasks A-Z is without parallel. Your attention to detail is astounding. If someone needed instructions on how to make toast, you would likely come up with an essay on the matter. You are a quick learner. Show you once, and you’re well on your way to becoming a master at it. You run your own show, because that’s the way you roll. Driven is a description best used for you on your days off.  Yet you know how to have fun – both at work and in your own personal life. Self-motivated is how people might describe you when they knew you as a child – you’ve only scaled from then to now. Give you an objective, and then stand back and be in awe. You are reliable. Your word, is your own personal binding contract with people. You are respectful of other people, both clients and co-workers.

What should I be good at?

Listening. As you will be working with our clients and IT technicians, your ability to respectfully deal with both parties, will insure that messages are never lost in translation and that every interaction is dealt with grace and dignity. Asking Questions. You are never afraid at asking for guidance when you seemingly have hit a roadblock, as that is a learning opportunity. Doing research. Your ability to home in on the finer aspects of emails, quotes, hardware and software specs and then do your own research if necessary, will guarantee that what is required, is what is being shipped and received by us. Fabulous student. In the world of IT, the ability to learn and learn quickly is what keeps our team agile and adapting to the constant world of change around us.

Exposure to the Microsoft 365 platform of software, would be essential. Background in Information Technology would be beneficial. Experience with Connectwise Managed Services PSA software would be a bonus, however we will also train you, if you’ve never had the pleasure. Experience with Quickbooks would be a welcome asset. Training will be offered to the right candidate to fill in the knowledge gaps.

What will you be doing?

You will be a part of our Administrative Team, a group of talented people that assist our clients in everything from account management, finance, purchasing and procurement. In the end, the job responsibilities can be as varied as the field of Information Technology itself.
